This is the first Trekking guide of Chile. It includes 40 destinations from the north to the far south of Chile, with a selection of the best trails. It encompasses from Lauca National Park down to Cabo Froward, south of Punta Arenas. This guide has chapters aimed both at beginners and experts. It tackles subjects from how to use a compass, pack a bag, ford a river and provides several tips and tricks for the excursionist. It also includes a special section on native flora and fauna that can be encountered on the different trails. It has complete maps and photographs of each of the trekkings, complemented with videos linked via a QR code. The authors María Jesús Ossandón and Juan Pablo Gardeweg, publish this second guide, after the successful Trekking Guide around Santiago (spanish).
